If you've always wanted to lose weight and get back into shape then power you way through this simple leg workout to give you great legs. Below are a number of exercises that can tone up your legs. Following a 3 set goal, add in 12 to 15 reps and give yourself a 60-90 second rest between each exercise.
1-Butterfly Plies
Stand tall with feet wider than hip-width apart, toes angled outward and knees aligned with toes. Bend your knees and lower your body until your thighs are parallel to the floor. As you stand back up to the starting position, raise your arms up overhead into a "V," palms facing forward.
2-Lung
Start by stepping your right foot a stride length forward and bending your knees until your right thigh is parallel to the floor and your left thigh is perpendicular to it. Next, press off your right foot to stand back up, hold a moment, and then repeat with your left leg.
3-Squats
Start with your feet spread shoulder width apart, toes pointing straight ahead. Place your hands on your hips for support, begin to lower yourself like you were about to set in a chair. Lower until your thighs are parallel to the floor, holding for a second. Begin to press up through the balls of your feet until you are straight. Tip: If you need support, do a sliding squat against the wall. Follow the same instructions just place your back against a wall and allow yourself to slide up and down the wall.
By incorporating these simple leg exercises with a sensible diet plan you will see tremendous results that will increase your tone and have you ready for summer!
